Treatment Focuses

Each of the independently practicing counselors have experience working with particular issues, with some of them specializing or have training in a particular treatment modality. Each counselor has different populations they work with, for example, some work with couples or families, while others do not.

Most of the clinicians are available for Telehealth and in-person appointments. Check out the clinicians here to learn more about them and what they offer.

Cost: The Two Options

Self-Pay

Looking to work on an area of need in your life, improve an aspect of your marriage, or want to learn skills to apply in parenting your child? These and other goals can be addressed by the supportive and informative environment of counseling. Your counselor will work with you to address any of your financial concerns. Talk with your counselor if this is a concern for you and they will work with you to help identify options.

Hourly Rates:

Individual: $140/hr.

Family or Marriage/Couple’s: $165 for first session, $150 thereafter.

Insurance

Having a in network insurance plan can make counseling more affordable, and focuses on the treatment of specific diagnosis and symptom reduction. Your counselor will work with you to assess for presence of a diagnosis and make a treatment plan with you that addresses those needs directly.

It is important to note that not everyone in every instance of service will meet the necessary criteria for a mental health diagnosis. Such individuals can still benefit from the support of their counselor and the work done in sessions towards their goals, but will need to self-pay for counseling services.

Not all services qualify for coverage by insurance plans. Marriage/couple’s counseling is one of those services that is not covered by insurance plans, as there is not a diagnosis for marital issues. Parenting relationship issues when the child does not meet criteria for a diagnosis may be another example.

Your portion of the cost is determined by your plan. Contact your plan to determine what your portion of the cost per session will be for you.

Lastly, insurance plans can retroactively reject previously paid claims. YOU are always responsible for the cost of your services, even in such circumstances.
